The worldly wicked prefer pleasures in the present at the expense of future blessedness. They will awake in the life to come with no inheritance stored up, but only judgment and wrath.

The notion that we are so bad off that there was no other means of rectifying Divine justice against sin, than for God Almighty to assume human form and suffer death as the Substitute for His people, is foolishness, if not treachery to the minds of self-righteous people who worship their humanity.
