When I was 15, mom made me get photos taken at a portrait studio. Instead of saying a thousand words, my photos said one - "boring". The problem was that mass-production studios are frequently run by computers and unskilled technicians. They have little time or desire to truly capture the spirit of their subjects.
I want every image to be as individual as the person in it. That's why I work with clients to learn their interests and shoot on location. Whether I'm working with bands, high school seniors, or families, I create dynamic photos suited to the people in them. And because the images are given to you ROYALTY FREE, the final cost is still less than what you would pay at the local in-store studio. And you'll have a much more relaxed, fun time getting them.

If you would like to fly me somewhere I haven’t been, I may shoot your photos for free. That’s how I went to Ireland once. Let me know.
What's it like?
I do things quite differently from other photographers, so I'm told. I keep things relaxed, fun. I like to begin by having [insert favorite beverage] with my clients and getting to know one another a bit. This helps, since having a stranger take photos of you-with-your-hair-all-done-up can be a bit awkward, otherwise. I typically select clothing from about six pairs you'll bring. Yeah, six! This allows me to match you to whatever locations we choose, similar to clothing catalogues. Don't worry, I do very little "dentist posing"; instead I loosely direct and you, relying on my journalistic instincts to get the "right moment". It seems to work well. Bring a friend, just make sure he/she is willing to hold my reflector!
Note on choosing clothing...
I absolutely will not take photographs with immoral, irreverent, or otherwise corrupt themes. This includes immodestly dressed young women, so skip the low-cut-and-too-tight anything. Take a lesson from nature: flowers don't have to be scandalous to be beautiful.
